If you have been experiencing some anxiety, practice these 3 small tips to help get you through.

Deep Breathing

Taking deep breaths and focusing on your breathing can help to calm you. You don’t have to go as far as meditation, but meditation is essentially focused breathing with the goal to clear your mind. Deep calming breaths can help ease some of your anxiety.

Question Your Thinking

Take a look at your train of thought. Is it negative? Are you hyper-fixated on something that is making your heart race? Focusing on your thoughts can help you recognize where these feelings might be coming from. Journaling your thoughts and feelings can also help you sort out things out in your mind as well as help you release them.

Get Active

Putting your body through exertion and breaking a sweat gives your body the ability to work out tension and move your focus to something else. There are multiple benefits to exercise and helping fight your anxiety is one of them.

There are a few things you can do to help fight anxious feelings, whether it’s deep breathing, journaling, getting active, or all three, you can find some relief. If things seem to be getting worse, contact your doctor or mental health professional. Your mental health is all a part of taking care of yourself and deserves just as much attention as any other aspect of your life.
